I fell in love with the practice of Yoga in 2002 and the profound impact it created in my life. Practicing Yoga brought me peace of mind, strength, a spiritual connection like no other and made my body more fluid and flexible.
Then in 2007, after an accident left me disabled, I thought that was the end of Yoga for me. This accident had me hospitalized for 6 months, I underwent 3 surgeries and I lost my husband. Needless to say, this was when I needed my Yoga practice more than ever.
By 2010 I was able to get back in the studio and participate in chair classes and while some is better than none, I longed to get down to the floor, without needing assistance and maintaining some modicum of grace. As I sat in the chair feeling sorry for myself and hiding my tears, my husband's voice came to me loud and clear and said, "Stop whining Donna. If you don't like the way this is, invent something."
And that's what I've done. From 2012 to now Sitzon has been in development, testing and refining to bring you the best accessible lift chair so you too can get back to doing what you love.
